And the competition is fierce!

Finalists for the 2010 DigiSPAA competition have been announced.

After an unprecedented number of entries the judges have narrowed the enourmous talent pool down to four exceptional films. And the finalists are… (Drum roll please)

Little Sparrows directed, written and produced by Yu-Hsiu Camille Chen, The Fall Guys produced by Rhys Cain, Roadman produced, written and directed by Peter Leovic and I Wish I Were Stephanie V produced by Laura Sivis.

SPAA President and DigiSPAA Co-Curator Antony I. Ginnane believes that, "The range, diversity, quality and originality of this year’s 4 finalists for the award speaks as to the vibrant intensity of the low budget/no budget Australasian feature film sector.”

The films will be screened at this year’s SPAA Fringe conference on October 22 and 23 at the Powerhouse Museum, and the grand prize winner will be announced on November 17 and will score over $50,000 worth of prizes to help turn their dreams of becoming a filmmaker into a reality.

May the best film win!
