Desert Boots Are Back!

In celebrating their step away from skatey origins, the fine folk at Airwalk are giving a couple of lucky Beat readers the chance to win pair of Classic Desert Boot Silhouettes – valued at $89.95. One guy's pair (black) and one gal's pair (sand) are up for grabs. The best two posts below itemising the one thing you’d need if stuck in the desert (apart from Desert Boots or water) win!

If I was stuck in the desert I'd need a camel. For eating.

I broke my first arm and Powell Peralta in a pair of Airwalks. If stuck in the desert I'd want a lawyer.

apparently a mirror is the most helpful thing in the desert to signal people (it's also the only piece of information I retained from a yr 10 camp many years ago)

I'd need an inflatable pool, so me and my inflatable girlfriend could go swimming

Sexy chick in bikinis, so we can build sand castles using the Desert Boots.

An internet connection - so that I can blog my experience, 'affiliate market' desert boots from my blog and have the whole saga turned into a Brad Pitt vehicle after my escape...or death.

a book entitled "How to get home if your stuck in the desert'. Would be a good read in the sun i reckon.

A cut throat razor. Reasons being a.) If i was in the desert and wholly unlucky being there without a pair of styling Airwalk desert boots I would have the oppurtunity to turn whichever pair of less than adequate foot wear I was in, into a semi crude form of desert boot by cutting the soles with my trusty cut throat. b.)for being so depressing the idea of being in the desert without Airwalks i would be able to take my own life for fear of inadequate 'shoe-iing'. Generic term used for lack of Airwalk desert boot. c.) Would have the chance to roll the next mack I seen with a pair of the before mentioned desert boot if I still had no hell-toes on my big-toes and perhaps d.) would be wittling some form of psychotropic cactus into the form of a desert boot. If not succesful I would have enough peyote like resin to eat and forget about these ultimately awesome desert boots and could trip the light fantastique with my own pair while travelling the cosmic highway to the nearest desert boot retailer because I was so unlucky as to not win the boots in a beat competition before being stuck in this desert with no desert boots.
