Having been around since 2001 with the release of debut album Clarence Park, the Warp Records figure is a thoroughly distinctive pioneer in IDM, with a meticulous approach to production seeing him create magic out of heavily manipulated live drum samples, wintry synth sounds and glitchy noises drawing him favourable comparisons to the label’s finest in Autechre, Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin. Not content with sitting in some of the higher echelons of the label’s releases however, Clark’s releases have been prolific and entirely visionary – and with a hotly anticipated new live club show at the ready and his next full-length album Iradelphic set for release within the month, we can’t get enough of Clark.
