Allans Music Merges With Billy Hyde
Music News
Ever wished your Woolworths and Myer were the same store? Your Google iPhone? Your Sony Virgin Windows new pair of jeans? Yes, well, neither have we, but Allans and Billy Hyde have gone ahead and merged anyway. Officially its a merger between Allans Music Group and the Australian Music Group, which means that not only Billy Hyde gets roped in but also wholesale businesses Musiclink, Musiclink Orchestral Supplies, Intermusic Distribution and Billy Hyde imports will now join Allans Music in waht they see as creating an 'undisputed market leader.'
Essentially, the merger will create enormous stores full of everything you've ever need, which could potentially be overwhelming, like when you break down and cry in the middle of the IKEA showroom. The merger also will make the business more internationally competitive and nationally dominating, allowing for price pushes.
The new company will be branded "Allans Music + Billy Hyde" and the new network will include full line music showcases in major CBD locations as well as major suburban and regional stores nationally. The co-branding will commence immediately.
