Stone Temple Pilots Australian Tour

US rockers Stone Temple Pilots often top wish lists of which bands punters would most like to see.

Early hits such as Plush, Sex Type Thing, Vasoline and Interstate Love Song established them as a force to be reckoned with.
 

Their distinctive sound, comprised of glamorous riffs and howling arrangements set to an enviable swagger has marked Stone Temple Pilots a staple in any rock fan’s collection.

Stone Temple Pilots continue to meld genres and influences, featuring gritty tinges of brooding grunge and 1960’s and 1970’s rock.

The band released their eponymously named, sixth studio album in May of this year after nearly a decade long recording hiatus.

They'll tour in 2011 in support of the new record, joined by none other than one of the country’s leading rock acts Grinspoon.
