DISCOUNTS: It’s the first Tuesday of the festival, meaning most shows offer discount tickets. For a full list of everything discounted at the festival today, a full list can be found at the Comedy Festival website.

NEW SHOWS: A large number of shows start their 2015 MICF runs this evening, including:

VENUE CHANGE: If you have tickets to festival favourites The Pajama Men and their show 2 Man 3 Musketeers, they’re on the move as of tonight. The bedtime boys move to the Fairfax Studio at the Arts Centre, 9pm.

TUESDAY ONLY: Brodi Lucas’ show World Famous(ish) kicks off tonight and for the next two Tuesdays. See it 7.30pm at LOOP bar in the CBD.

FAMILY: It’s the school holidays so why not get the whole family together to see some comedy?

The (very) Big Laugh Out hosts three editions today. At the City Square Pitch it’s Asher Treleaven at 12.30pm, Mr Moriyasu at 1.30pm, and Jessica Arpin at 3pm. All of these are free.
At 10.30am, Sabrina D’Angelo’s show Zen the Pigeon Girl takes off from the Northcote Town Hall
At 11am, Madeleine Culp & Shane Matheson show us some Dinosaur Guts. Melbourne Town Hall. Also at the Town Hall: Harley Breen & Heath Franklin in Captain Fun Pants and the Mystery of the Fun-o-Matic Fun Wand and Trash Test Dummies. Over at The Spiegelent, it’s Dr Brown Brown Brown Brown Brown and His Singing Tiger…Again!, also at 11am.
Matty Grey Age-Less 3: Dreamweaver vs The Nightmare Child runs at the Northcote Town Hall from 11.30am.
At 12.15pm at the Town Hall, choose between Impromptunes: Tune Your Own Adventure, Jon Bennett’s family edition of It’s Rabbit Night!!!, or Showko with Ninja Ken & Sushi Monster.
At 12.30pm, Comedy Club for Kids returns to The Spiegeltent at the Arts Centre.
Improvilicious: The Improvised Guide to High School holds court at the Melbourne Town Hall from 1.30pm. Also at 1.30pm – Josh Earl in My Family’s Weirder Than Your Family.
At 2pm choose between Alex and Luke’s Make Your Parents Disappear at The Famous Spiegeltent or Mr Snot Bottom and The Curse Of The Stinky Silly Zombie Babies at the Melbourne Town Hall.
And ONGALS present their Babbling Comedy, 7pm at The Famous Spiegeltent.

PODCAST: CJ Delling hosts a live edition of her podcast Under the News Desk – and the best thing is that’s it’s free! See it live, 7.30pm tonight at the Bull and Bear Tavern.

EXHIBITIONS: Two comedy related exhibitions are open today – both of them are free as well. That’s Funny, an exhibition on wacky, weird, and sometimes outrageous is open from 9am at Arts Project Australia, and Peter Milne’s exhibition The Oddfellow’s Daughter is open at ACMI from 10am.
