David O’Doherty: 5.30pm at the Forum.

Colin Lane: 6pm at the Town Hall.

Urzila Carlson: 6pm at the Victoria Hotel.

Dave Thornton: 7pm at The Hi-Fi.

Centrelink the Musical: 9.30pm at the Mechanic Institute in Brunswick.

Daytime: Shows happening in the daytime at the festival:

Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience will be held at The Aegean Restaurant in Fitzroy, 1pm and 7pm.

Three shows this afternoon at the ExfordHuggers Family Friendly Comedy & Cabaret at noon, Ashes: The Comedy Showdown at 1.30pm, then The Best of British at 3.30pm.

Musical DreamSong takes off at Theatreworks, 2pm and 7.30pm.

Xavier Toby’s comedy walking tour 2014: When We Were Idiots will be held at 3pm and 8pm by the Burke & Wills Statue at the City Square.

At 4pm, Lana Schwarcz at the Imperial Hotel, and Who’s Your Daddy at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow.

Hannah Gadsby‘s final art lecture for the festival, Mary Contrary takes place at the National Gallery of Victoria. 4.30pm,  the show is sold out but limited tickets may be on sale at the door.

And ending the afternoon of comedy – Pop Mashup: Happy Birthday Doctor!, 5pm at the Butterfly Club.

Family Comedy: If you’re after some comedy for the whole family, try the following.

The Luck Child occupies the Spiegeltent, 10am; with Monski Mouse following at 11.30am.

The Listies do their thing at the Northcote Town Hall today at 10.30am and 1pm.

At 11am: Seussical at the Athenaeum, and at 11.30am the Flying Fruit Fly Circus at the Arts Centre.

The (very) Big Laugh Out is on all day at the City and Federation Squares. Today at the City Square Pitch: Yo-Yo People at 11.30am, and Ong-als in Babbling Comedy at 12.30pm. Then at 2.30pm OzStar Airlines hosts the big show at Federation Square with Ong-als in Babbling ComedyYo-Yo PeopleAsher Treleaven and Rani Huszar. Entry is free.

The Flying Bookworm Theatre Company present Three Silly Stories, 12.30pm at the Town Hall.

Comedy Club for Kids is back at the Spiegeltent at 1pm.

At 2pm, The Underlads reveal The Great Magic-Off in the Town Hall. 

And 3.30pm sees Improvilicious perform family friendly impro at the Town Hall.

Podcasts: Plenty of podcasts taping today at the festival. The Preachrs Podcast kick things off with live recordings, 11am and 4pm at Club Volare. Steele Saunders’ I Love Green Guide Letters has limited tickets available – 4:30 at The Swanston Hotel.  Also today David Tulk and Jamie McCarney in Full of It: The True or False Game Show, 5pm at the Exford Hotel. And the boys from TOFOP are back together for one night only, 11.15pm at the Town Hall.

Special EventsA Young Man Dressed As A Gorilla Dressed As An Old Man Sits Rocking In A Rocking Chair For Fifty-Six Minutes And Then Leaves returns for its fourth edition at the Tuxedo Cat, 4pm today, entry is free. Celebrity Theatresports makes it’s return to the National Theatre in St Kilda tonight. 7.30pm, tickets from nationaltheatre.org.au and at the venue.

Late Night: Tonight Festival Club becomes Awards Club, with the gongs being handed out to the festival’s finest shows. 11.15pm at The Hi-Fi, and we will have the full results on tomorrow’s MICF Daily.
