SPECIAL EVENTS: The Deadly Funny National Final & Showcase is back at MICF today. Andy Saunders and Judith Lucy will host Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander up and coming comedians, who compete to win $2,000. Special guests include Kevin Kropinyeri, Shiralee Hood, Matt Ford, Mia Stanford and a performance by Djuki Mala. 5pm today at the Forum Theatre Upstairs.

EXTRA SHOWS: The final Saturday of the festival is marked with a whole lot of bonus shows – many comedians doing double duty today. Tickets are on sale now for the following extras:

DAYTIME: Plenty of great comedy to see in the daytime at MICF today. Amongst the early treats:

The Op Shop Tour will bus you around with comedians from 9.30am, outside the Town Hall.

The Exford Hotel hosts three afternoon shows. Ashes: The Comedy Showdown at 1.30pm. The Best of British 3.30pm, and Full of It: The True or False Game Show at 5pm.
Rod Quantock and Fiona Scott-Norman reveal Drivetime with Two Leggy Redheads. At the earlier time of 2pm at the Famous Spiegeltent.
Michael Chamberlin lets you know his Thoughts. 4pm, Imperial Hotel.
Also at 4pm, variety show Love Bites takes place at the Downstairs Lounge at the Grand Mercure Hotel
Love Your Work: Aussie Comedy Shorts, a collection of films is on at 4pm at ACMI.
Hannah Gadsby’s super popular series of art lectures is back today. Picasso and Other Problems looks at the works of Pablo Picasso and how it led modern art. 4.30pm at the National Art Gallery.
At 5pm Battle of The Superheroes: The Great Superhero Debate, that one’s at The Joint.
Celia Pacquola’s show Let Me Know How It All Works Out happens 5.30pm at the Victoria Hotel and is currently sold out.
Straight outta 1991 comes Greg Fleet, Matt King and Marty Sheargold – aka New Joke City. They tell their story as part of Meshel Laurie Talks Funny, 5.30pm at the Town Hall.
And Damian Callinan opens his The Lost WWI Diary. 5.45pm at the Melbourne Town Hall.

FAMILYThe (very) Big Laugh Out has a big day of family friendly comedy planned for you. See Mathieu Moustache at 11.30am, and The French Waiter at 12.30pm over at the City Square Pitch. Then from 2.30pm head to Federation Square’s main stage for the big show. Hosts Ozstar Airlines will welcome Mathieu MoustacheTrygve WakenshawTessa WatersTrash Test Dummies, and the Djuki Mala. Entry for both is free.

Also on today: Cautionary Tales for Children and the 26-Storey Treehouse. Both of those at Arts Centre Melbourne.
