Swing and jazz rockers Royal Crown Revue are returning to Australia (for the 11th time!) in January, and tickets are on limited sale now

Swing and jazz rockers Royal Crown Revue are returning to our shores in January!

Often credited with igniting the swing revival, RCR’s unique combination of swing, jump, jive and jazz has yielded a dream career in the music industry.

They will be making their way to Melbourne to perform their high-powered show on January 25-26 at The Corner Hotel.

Behind the timeless voice of Eddie Nichols, RCR have worked with a stunning variety of top artists, including James Brown, Bette Midler and Gene Simmons. The band has made countless TV appearances on shows like Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel and Jay Leno, and their music has been featured in films such as The Mask and Swingers.

But it’s on stage that Royal Crown Revue truly come alive. Not only has the band performed at many of the world’s most prestigious venues and festivals, from the Hollywood Bowl and Radio City Music Hall to the Reading Festival and the ’97 and ’99 Warped Tour, but RCR have also played thousands of sold-out headlining dates throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia.

Since 1998, RCR have enjoyed a particularly special relationship with our nation. With ten Aussie shows now under their belt, the band has attracted an extremely loyal and raucous fan base that stretches across the spectrum.

And they are very excited to be returning to tour in early 2011.

You can buy tickets now from www.cornerhotel.com for $52.50. Be quick though, it’s a limited capacity show for swing dancing! Tuesday January 25 and Wednesday January 26. Doors open at 8.30pm.

And for all you die-hard fans who just can’t wait until next year for your dose of Royal Crown Revue, fear not! Grab a copy of the band’s brand new Christmas record called Don’t Be A Grinch This Year.
