Off the back of their new album, Dance Pop.

In mid July, Korea’s Wedance delivered their new album, Dance Pop, a dynamic dance punk record that whimsically marries electronic music with guitars in a transcendent feast for the ears.

Quintessentially DIY, it was the first record that Wedance had released digitally. Prior to that, recordings of the band were only accessible via limited edition CD runs at live shows.

Now, Wedance have arrived with a new video. The clip for the Dance Pop-featuring ‘Ironism’ brings together a group of friends, misfits and oddballs – each of whom take turns to bounce up and down on a trampoline while the rest of the crew stand idle watching.

The clip then cuts back and forth to the band performing in an empty room, with the lead vocalist singing into a hanging light bulb as the lead guitarist shreds from behind.

It’s the perfect encapsulation of the Wedance Korea has come to know and love – an outfit teeming with energy and effervescence who know no bounds.

To celebrate the new album and video, Wedance will be performing a bunch of livestream shows this October and November. They’ll take to BIGSOUND on Wednesday October 21 before appearing at Isol-Aid on Saturday October 31 and Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Friday November 20 in support of Jaguar Jonze.

Check out the new clip below.
