Australia will get a taste of Katy Perry's infamous cherry chapstick when she heads Down Under for her Prismatic tour this November.

The pop star behind smash hits like I Kissed a Girl, California Girls and Last Friday Night will perform on a state-of-the art stage designed especially for the tour that will allow her to get closer to fans that ever before.

Katy Perry will make more money licensing this song to shitty Australian reality TV shows than I will make in my entire life. But yeah, it’s a big, simple, and overall pretty great pop anthem. Nothing groundbreaking, but it provides a refreshing respite from the current glut of molly-affected club bangerz. That’s not to say I don’t love me some molly-affected club bangerz.

I hate her stupid insincere little wax face and I am loathe to give her a single column millimetre, but I think it’s interesting to note than Delta’s people are trying to remake her as Katy Perry. The explosive pop production on this long-awaited new Delta single is, post Teenage Dream, all too familiar. Good luck to you, wax face, that ship has sailed.

Taken from the forthcoming Pink Friday – Roman Reloaded album, Starships sees Nicki rocking in some really fucking odd territory, part Katy Perry part David Guetta. I’m not complaining – the violence with which she mashes these two styles is actually kind of mind-blowing (not unlike everything else she’s done). The chorus may start out Ibiza pool party...

“Summer after high school when we first met / We’d make out in your Mustang to Radiohead.” Way to crud up Radiohead, fuckstick.

Glossy, Parklife-ready disco pop from Catherine Kelleher, aka Catcall, who released the slow-burning Swimming Pool last year, and August the year before that. Satellites is a complete shift in speed and quality, peeling away from the staid and sexy pace of her previous singles. It has more in common with Fireworks by Katy Perry than the Catcall stuff you might have heard, which is...

I went into this preview of The Smurfs with low expectations. After all, this is a movie based on the 1980’s cartoon characters featuring a bunch of annoyingly upbeat, perennially happy diminutive blue creatures who live in a far way fantasy land. They are all named after peculiar personality traits (thus we get Brainy, Clumsy, Grouchy, etc). The Hanna Barbera produced cartoon series featuring...

The lineup for this year's Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts And Music Festival has been revealed, and it looks set to be an incredible way to ring in 2012.

The headline midnight-on-New-Year's slot will be performed by man of the moment (and Katy Perry's new fav) Gotye, capping off what has been...

The scintillating Frenchwoman Yelle is returning to Australia and bringing her alluring electro-pop to Melbourne.

After blowing minds with the recent release of her second album Safari Disco Club, Yelle has spent much of her time on the road with Katy Perry, but has now decided it's time to grace a stage in the 3000 once more.

Born and raised in Brittany, France, Yelle...
