What makes Jesus Christ Superstar such an enduring musical?
I think the classic story is exciting for people, whether you are religious or not. The music is so well written. It’s unlike any other rock scores.
How will your adaptation differ from other Jesus Christ Superstar performances?
This production will literally transform audiences to another world, unlike anything they have seen before. In a post apocalyptic, war-torn setting, these characters are faced with new challenges set to the well loved score we all know.
What’s your favourite moment of the musical?
The death of Judas.
What was the rehearsal process like?
Rehearsal was hella fun. It was so nice working with such a fun and supportive cast and crew.
What do you want audiences to take away from seeing this show?
I want people to be blown away by an amazing piece of theatre; something that they will remember (for good or bad) for decades to come.
