Garage rockers Eddy Current Suppression Ring announce new album, drop surprise track

Eddy Current Suppression Ring

It’s the band’s first music in yonks.

Melbourne garage rock outfit Eddy Current Suppression Ring have announced a surprise return to the music scene with a forthcoming album and brand new single to boot.

As Double J reports, the band are set to release a new record, titled All In Good Time, on Friday December 13. To keep fans hooked in the meantime, they’ve dropped the first single, ‘Our Quiet Whisper’.

Eddy Current stopped playing gigs back in 2010, with the exception of a few shows in 2016. Their last studio LP, Rush To Relax, was released roughly ten years ago. Even though it seemed like goodbye, frontman Brendan Huntley told ABC broadcaster Zan Rowe last year that the band hadn’t hung up the guitars entirely.

“We don’t really think about what the next step is, we just love being in the room together. So, that’s where that’s at,” Huntley said.

In any case, we’re holding out for Eddy Current’s glorious return next month.
