Earlier today, Frontier Touring sent out sad news that Chromeo will be cancelling their headline shows that were to take place later this month due to health concerns.

“To our funkateers and chromettes in Australia, we are truly sorry to announce that our upcoming July shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Splendour in the Grass have been cancelled. It’s been so long since we’ve visited you last and we were so excited to play for you. Unfortunately, the rigors of our touring schedule have caught up with us and we need to prioritize our health and well-being. We’re being told that this period would be best served as a time to rest. This was not an easy call to make. We hope you understand. Please know that we’re doing everything we can to reschedule our time in Australia. We will see you all soon. Lots of love, Dave and Pee.”

They were to play Splendour in the Grass on Friday July 20 and then follow this with shows at Melbourne’s Max Watt’s on Saturday July 21 and Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Sunday July 22.

Those that bought tickets for the Melbourne gig will be refunded through Oztix and may take 10 working days to appear back on your cards. While Sydney punters if bought online or over the phone will be refunded via Ticketek, with up to 15 days wait for the transaction to process. If you bought through an outlet or agency, you’re able to return your tickets to the place of purchase for your refund.
