Three additional artists have been added to the lineup of what will be the final ever CherryRock.

Leading the pack is Brant Bjork, a man who is revered for his impeccable stoner rock pedigree in KYUSS and Fu Manchu on drums, and has taken lead vocals and guitar via the Californian Desert to a new transcendental high on his seminal stoner albums Somera Sol, Punk Rock Guilt and...

Cherry Bar's operators have expanded their venue portfolio with the acquisition of Bambu Bar, also in AC/DC Lane.

The bar will be renamed EVIE, in honour of AC/DC Albert Records label mate Stevie Wright. This comes only a month after Cherry Bar's operators acquired Collingwood's Yah...

From little things, big things grow they say, and that phrase can certainly be applied to Melbourne’s The Dub Captains, who amusingly self proclaim are Melbourne’s very best pseudo-dub-faux-reggae band. Originally starting with just three members back in 2007, it has grown into a 14-piece juggernaut. It can be tough work getting everyone in the same spot at the same time singer Hamish Knight...

Hell fucking yeah. CherryRock is back to demolish AC/DC Lane for another year.

The 2014 incarnation will be headlined by none other than the The Meat Puppets. The US luminaries will be joined by local stalwarts Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk, King of the North, Child, Drunk Mums, Bitter Sweet Kicks, The Harlots, Don Fernando plus New Zealand's Beastwars with more to be announced...

Consider Daft Punk. Far from punk, they're retro house superstars. Queens of the Stone Age? Straight-as-nails desert rock. Enter Sexy/Heavy, Melbourne's come-hither rockers so named for doing what it says on their (sexy) tin. Sexy/Heavy singer Knave Knixx shakes it for old school and hard-driving rock.

"We love Queens of the Stone Age," Knixx begins, a hometown Kiwi accent...

Melbourne-based rock‘n’roll revivalists Palace of the King have released two EPs within the space of six to seven months of each other. The debut EP was released in May of last year, while the follow up, Moon & Mountain, came out digitally in late November. According to the band’s rhythm guitarist Matthew ‘Harri’ Harrison, the thinking behind this is that they want to be more prolific in...

After touring around the country in 2013 to promote their sophomore album, The Last Good Party, the boys of Gay Paris are back at it again for one last tour before heading over to the USA to record LP number three.

Channeling bands like Clutch and The Hives, the four-piece are celebrated for their head smashing party of a live show.

Looks like it’s going to be a big year for Australia’s premier Blues performer Chris Wilson; he’s got a live album to launch this week and he’s back performing with one of his first bands, Crown of Thorns for the first time in twenty odd years. It’s just another highlight in a blessed career that has seen Wilson record with Paul Kelly and the Coloured Girls, X, Diesel, Hunters and Collectors,...
