Game Changers: Diversity in Football illustrates how footy has the power to break down barriers and create change. Focusing on the Western Bulldogs in particular, the story of East Timorese and Taiwanese midfielder Lin Jong will be uncovered as well as the path of South African-born speedster Jason Johannisen.

The exhibition will feature treasured jumpers, awards and personal items from the players’ early years, including Johannisen’s 2016 AFL Premiership and Norm Smith medal. These will be displayed alongside photographs and videos of the changing faces of the AFL.

Game Changers will also unearth the story of Richmond’s running defender Bachar Houli, just the second devout Muslim to don an AFL jumper as well as other memorabilia from the 2016 and 2017 AFL seasons.
