The best up-and-coming names in Aussie comedy are kicking off the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's Comedy at The Espy series this Sunday.
The Espy has a long and proud history of staging excellent stand-up comedy in the iconic Gershwin Room, where Melanie Bracewell, Joel Creasey, Celia Pacquola, Nazeem Hussain, Claire Hooper, Tom Gleeson, Dilruk Jayasinha and Lloyd Langford have broken some of their most famous material in the front of the boisterous St Kilda audience.

Presented by Hotel Esplanade in cahoots with Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Comedy at The Espy program returns this Sunday 3 July and will run the first Sunday of the month for the rest of winter and spring. Put simply, there’s no better way to keep warm over the colder weeks than giggling with friends over a few drinks in the cosy surrounds of The Espy.
The Espy comedy series will once again showcase some of Australia’s favourite big-name comedians, alongside Melbourne’s most exciting up-and-comers. Kicking off the season this weekend is a massive line up featuring 2022 Winner Best Newcomer Frankie McNair, Alex Ward, Ben Moodie, Luke McGregor and more.
