Going down as part of this year’s stellar Melbourne Festival program, Glass will perform his own score to Jean Cocteau’s 1954 adaption of Beauty and the Beast in an illuminating ode to the transformative powers of love and art.
Performed by four singers onstage whose voices appear to be in complete synchronization with the onscreen characters, the result transcends artforms to create a new experience of sound and cinema.
