Nas' debut album was released twenty years ago now, and to celebrate, a remastered version of it entitled Illmatic XX has recently been released. Despite the fact that Nas was just 20 at the time of release, this album is widely seen as his masterpiece and used as a benchmark to which other hip hop and rap album of the ‘90s and today are measured by.

In a disappointing move for hip hop fans, the inaugural Movement Festival has been cancelled.

 

Movement was to feature Nas, Bliss N Eso, Iggy Azealia, Joey Bada$$ and more.

Hip hop festival Movement have announced that artists Angel Haze and 2 Chainz will not be appearing.

 

Due to a pending court case as well as visa complicatons, 2 Chainz unfortunately had to withdraw from the tour. In a bittersweet development for Angel Haze, she's had to cancel her trip to Australia due to recording commitments "with a certain high profile producer unavailable...

A selection of hip hop heavyweights will come together for the inaugural Movement festival.
