1. Sime bumped fists with Snoop
At the Big Day Out, we were walking out of the artists’ compound as Snoop and his boys were walking in after their show; he was about 20 deep and right at the front. Sime put his fist out and said "big Snoop Dogg". Sime got a fist with eight gold rings like Shabba Ranks on it and the reply, "Legend every day".

After a year which saw them release their debut album Gloamer and launch it sold out audiences across the country, indie rockers Loon Lake will take on 2014 when they embark on the Good Times tour.

The Melbourne outfit will play the largest venues that they've ever headlined on the upcoming national tour and will be joined by Jeremy Neale.

The inaugural NYE On The Hill boutique festival has officially sold out its 1,200 tickets, promoters The Hills Are Alive announced.

However they do have five spare tickets, and encouraging stragglers to come up with a good explanation as to why they haven’t got around to buying tickets. Say the promoters, “Remember, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.” You have...

Indie-rock/pop band, Loon Lake, while perched on the edge of Australia living in a tiny town along the Great Ocean Road, brought to life their latest album, Gloamer. Loon Lake write frustratingly catchy music with instinctively Australian lyricism as...

Loon Lake continue their blessed rise with this bouncy, electro-flecked new single. Feel that swooping squiggle of synth, swoon to Sam Nolan’s whiney, sex-rattling voice, and continue with your devoted patience, ‘cause these slack little bastards aren’t releasing an album anytime soon.

“Shaky feet but solid ground / Everyone’s on Valium and there’s no one around” was an anthemic line for my 2012. Loon Lake’s single Cherry Lipsinvited listeners into their lazily hip-shot world of guitars, jeans, bare feet, simple drums and telling dumb stories while sitting astride the twisted branch of a tea tree. That last bit is because the five-piece are skilled at taking your hand and...

After a knockout year in 2012, Loon Lake will be ringing in the new one with a special show at the Corner.

Following the successful release of their acclaimed second EP, Thirty Three, the show will be the last before the group bunker down to put the finishing touches on their debut album. Showing their support will be Melbourne's very own Eagle and The Worm and Split Seconds....

Just when you thought that Falls Music & Arts Festival had a sweet enough line-up with UK indie-rockers Maxïmo Park, The Vaccines, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Irish dance-pop band Two Door Cinema Club, it just got better.

You'll get to immerse yourself in Deep Heat  with Oh Mercy, Pope Innocent X with Bertie Blackman, while Fremantle indies San Cisco and The Jungle Giants will...
