Punk, Ska, Hardcore news reviews and gossip. With Emily Kelly ek1984@gmail.com Yeah so no one really breaks up anymore do they? Refused seem to have open the floodgates for band that swore never to return, to reform in triumphant fashion. I keep seeing peers, our own mates, neighbours, members of our generation totally misrepresenting their adoration of their homeland with sentiments like 'fuck off we're full'. By... Read More

The Devil Wears Prada

It was a very different musical environment in which Ohio metalcore six-piece The Devil Wears Prada were born and bred. For one, hardcore dudes didn’t care about hairstyles and they never would’ve dreamed of incorporating “blippy techno babble” into their angst-filled metal lashings and straight-talking lyrics. Thankfully, guitarist/vocalist Jeremy Poyster still remembers those days, and as he... Read More

The metalcore train left the station about four or five years ago, and these guys may have missed it. If these guys had released Heartbound in 2005, they would have been a chance to (momentarily) dominate the world; such is the quality of what they do. These Aussie boys do the melodic metalcore thing about as well as anyone on the planet right now; it's just that they might have to be content... Read More

Just before Killswitch Engage cracked the big time, their former lead vocalist Jesse Leach parted ways with the band, who would since go on to become a world renowned metalcore pioneer. Back in the early 2000s it was the dreaded ‘personal issues’ that caused Leach’s Killswitch demise, and he has since watched them become arguably the biggest... Read More
