Bushranger, revolutionary, cop-killer, republican.

Bushranger, revolutionary, cop-killer, republican. Australia’s famous folk criminal was a prolific writer and raconteur in the 1800’s. His impromptu performance in Jerilderie, where he dared the audience to shoot him dead on the spot, was legendary. In 2011 he returns – and cracks the funny about the state of this enigmatic nation. Includes folk songs and a big beard.

Critically acclaimed satirist, and creator of Collingwood Ruined My Life and Ben Cousins – A Rock Opera, Kieran Butler, presents Ned Kelly as a take-no-prisoners, stand-up comic.

Ned Kelly – Last Stand Up is brand new Australian satire from the man who conceived and co-wrote the spectacular Che Guevara On The Fringe at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival between 2005 and 2007.

Kieran Butler is best known to Melbourne audiences for his popular AFL football themed comedic offerings, however, Ned Kelly – Last Stand Upwill mark a return to the type of razor sharp political comedy that made ‘Che Guevara on the Fringe’ an official Fringe sell-out show – and a consistent hit with the Edinburgh critics.

Ned Kelly – Last Stand Up will feature a cameo appearance by Sean Kelly (ex-TISM) and support act, Andrew Bolt-Action.

Kieran Butler performs Ned Kelly – Last Stand Up at The Kodiak Club from March 30 – April 24. It’s at 9.15pm Wednesday – Sunday. Tickets are $5 – $18 and available from 9743 3955, kieranbutler.com, bookingfee-free.com and at the door.
