Maori bluesman Grant Haua is set to play George Lane with Oscar LaDell in support.

Grant Haua of Ngati Pukenga descent from Aotearoa New Zealand. Solo Acoustic Blues a guitar maestro – musicians musician. His deep timbred soul blues vocals/ acoustic guitars and foot percussion (cajon/ snare) provide for a performance of style that relates heavily to his maori culture which are at the heart of these songs. Grant wants the audiences at his show to feel like they’re guests in his home and like the songs his home is pretty simple but it’s warm cozy and friendly. So welcome. This is his place. First time shows in Melbourne as a solo artist.

Grant Haua is no stranger to folk being in New Zealand’s most influential Blues Duo Swamp Thing (performed at a number of Australian festivals including Womadelaide Woodford Bridgetown Blues). Departing the duo in 2019 to pursue his solo career all roads lead to Europe with Grant signing to French recording label Dixie Frog Records ahead of his album AWA Blues ranking in the top 25 albums 2021 in Rolling Stone Magazine France. Now with three album releases including this Novembers 2023 Mana Blues band album.
