“It’s awfully civilised in here tonight,” said Sarah McLeod as she sat down in a chair mid-stage, silver, high-heeled boots pushing her knees up towards her chin. She wasn’t wrong. The 100 or so people shuffling around the Gershwin room on Friday night was a disappointing turn out for the ARIA award winning rocker of late '90s rock outfit, The Superjesus, and James Walsh, the headlining...   This was the third annual Rock The Bay and it did not disappoint. It continues to be the best showcase for the consistently stunning array of talent in the Australian alternative rock realm. The only difference between this and previous years was the presence brain-dead bogans and – surprise surprise – a couple of fights broke out. Luckily they happened outside and the police contained... Read More

Branch Arterial are a Melbourne band with a massive sound and some big ideas, philosophies and ambitions. And, they very much appear to possess the songwriting and instrumental chops to back them up too, if their brand new EP Voices Unknown is anything to go by.   Then there's also their intense and breathtaking live show, which takes things to another level again. Drawing... Read More
