Record Store Day is a national day of celebration in record stores across the country, aiming to unite music lovers and, more specifically, record lovers. Various record stores will host parties of their own and Wah Wah Records’ is set to be a banger!
The day promises to highlight independent record stores across the nation, placing the spotlight on an industry that is thriving throughout Melbourne. There will be deep cuts, limited edition releases and rare finds up for grabs, so don’t miss the chance to get your hands on something special.

Local Melbourne band Big League will be keeping the vibes high with a free live performance from 3pm. The band is also set to debut their new LP Heathen Sound on the day, with limited-edition splatter vinyl available in-store.
Wah Wah Records will also be providing free beer (!), but if that’s not enough to twist your arm, the shindig will also be pooch-friendly, so you’re welcome to tag along and wag a tail with your favourite little buddies.
As with all Record Store Day celebrations, there will be a variety of discounts and sales on all your favourite records, as well as specific Record Store Day titles which are guaranteed to bolster your collection.
