Australia's leading independent music conference has just revealed this year's program and there's so much to explore.
If you’re an unsigned artist, a hustling music industry worker or just someone with big musical aspirations, you might want to think about heading to Adelaide next month to learn from some of the best.
From August 2 to 4, the Mercury Cinema will be taken over by Indie-Con: the country’s top indie music gathering. Over three days, professionals from across the industry will gather to share their expertise on music marketing, PR, advertising, building engagement and so much more.

This year’s program will feature over 70 speakers from Australia and beyond, including journalists, executives, label reps and artists.

Some of the international imports who are set to share their views include Folk Alliance International’s Neeta Ragoowansi discussing the power of the artist showcase, Worldwide Independent Network CEO Noemí Planas talking about copyright in the AI era and Polyvinyl’s Natalie Dávila covering the new landscape of release cycles.
There will also be workshops on making a positive environmental change, curating your music catalogue featuring Spotify and ABC Music, and music marketing tips from the teams behind Flume, The Wiggles, Confidence Man and Lime Cordiale.
With 16 sessions to check out, it’s truly the place to be for anyone who wants to drastically expand their understanding of the independent scene.
MusicSA’s Scouted will close out the event. Across three stages in Adelaide’s West End on August 4, some of South Australia’s finest unsigned and emerging artists will perform, showcasing their talent and reminding the conference attendees of the meaning behind the work that they do.
