Daniel Dumile, aka Doom, is bringing his international masked success to Australia for the very first time.

Daniel Dumile, aka Doom, is bringing his international masked success to Australia for the very first time.

Over a 20-year career, Doom has gone from strength to strength, changing his name more often than Prince. Previously known as, King Geedorah, Metal Fingers, Metal Face, Viktor Vaughn and Zev Love X, Doom has become one of the most unique acts of rap with his multi-syllabic rhyming and super villainous secret identity.

In 1988, the artist formerly known as Zed Love X formed KMD with his younger brother DJ Subroc and Onyx the Birthstone Kid. Unfortunately, as their success began to climb in 1993, Subroc was struck and killed by a car. KMD’s record label was dropped just prior to the release of Black Bastards, and the music began to subside.

Daniel Dumile reports that this is where he suffered depression at its worst. Black Bastards was bootlegged and climbed the underground hip hop hierarchy, but it wasn’t until 1997 that he returned to the music scene.

Notable past performances include mind blowing acts with De La Soul, Madvillain, Ghostface Killah, Prince Paul and Peanut Butter Wolf, among many others.
