I understand most of you are reading this for a review of Summadayze. Instead I offer you a chronology of the events that transpired prior to that time I ended up onstage with M.I.A. Being of Middle Eastern ancestry, it is of no surprise that I cherished and admired Bad Girls. M.I.A. is one of those rare artists that know how to work with what she’s got and do so with powerful and evoking... Read More

This Friday, for one spectacular night, The Chemical Brothers 2011 performance at Fuji Rock will be aired at selected cinemas in 7.1 Dolby Surround Sound. (What the fuck is Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound, you ask? I have no idea, but don’t it sound awesome?) Don’t Think is the title of the doco and also this here supporting single. Originally composed for the Black Swan soundtrack, it’s a belting C/B... Read More

So then, what's the band name and what do you 'do' in the band? OKA - I'm Lanos and I'm on woodwinds and guitar What do you reckon people will say you sound like? Here's what someone actually said: "Imagine Bob Marley Meets Stevie Wonder via the Chemical Brothers in a steaming rainforest - then you start to get the idea". What do you love about making music? You... Read More

The Chemical Brothers : Horse Power
0 Comments. 836 Views. Posted 8 Feb 2011 @ 10:07am.
This song cracks me up. The knob twiddling has a kind of twisted genius and these infectious beats are some of their best, but the faux-robotic voice saying 'horse power' over and over again is just ridiculous. Is it meant to be funny? Maybe it's meant to be funny. Maybe the neighing horse samples and Germanic Hi-NRG muttering are partly a joke, which expands into mind-bendingly incredible... Read More
