Being held in Australia for the very first time, Series Mania will run across four days – delivering over 20 free screenings and premieres of the best drama, comedy and web series from across the globe.

Vince Gilligan – the multi award-winning writer, producer, director and creator of the critically acclaimed series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul – will come to Melbourne as part of the event to discuss his work, as well as the upcoming fourth season of Better Call Saul. He’ll appear in conversation, as well as taking part in a special industry masterclass.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Film Victoria to bring Series Mania to Australia for the first time,” said ACMI CEO Katrina Sedgwick. “No one epitomises the renaissance of TV drama quite like master storyteller Vince Gilligan – we’re thrilled to welcome him to Melbourne.”

Series Mania launches with the world premiere of the locally filmed, exceptional crime drama Sunshine starring Anthony LaPaglia and a standout cast of South Sudanese debut actors. From Australian premieres including The White Princess, Loaded and Mary Kills People, to world premieres of The Bonus Family, Tabula Rasa and many more, Series Mania is all about binge-watchingly good TV. No matter how or what you watch, we’ve got something to excite all TV lovers.

Held annually at the Forum des Images in Paris since 2010, Series Mania is the fastest growing festival of its kind, and a key event on the global TV industry calendar.
