Since first opening its door, Blue Bar has always focused on hip hop music and culture, with some of Melbourne’s most prominent street artists gracing their walls, and a mix of local and international artists taking over their turntables.
Part of the venues legacy is the annual birthday celebrations held each year, with the big 2-0 set to kick things up a notch.
This year is extra special for Blue Bar, not only because of the longevity they are celebrating but also because this will be the launch of a renovation adding in a rooftop bar space with another set of decks that will be spinning vinyl all day, a new commission piece by Phibs, a Mr Burger kitchen outpost and a custom bar fit-out.
