“Blessed are the bearded men, for they shall inherit the Earth.” Jesus Christ did not utter this phrase, but he should have. Bearded men the world over have suffered stoically in a world not suited for their facial hair. In recent history, the bearded have been forced to live under a regime of shaving cream, razors and after-shave. A cabal of clean-chins has controlled the power for too... Read More

"If your dad doesn't have a beard, you've got two mums." Fact. According to Aussie four-piece The Beards.  Forming as a joke to play a single show in Adelaide, the entirely beard-based band have gone on to become underground legends of the Australian music scene. Anyone who thought this band would be struggling to write more songs about beards will be proven utterly wrong as the Aussie four... Read More

Between the creepy bearded lady at the carnival and the fact that it's the accessory of choice for the homeless, it's no wonder beards have developed a bad reputation. Fortunately, four brave men are standing up for the black sheep of the facial hair family. Those men are Adelaide quartet The Beards. 'Melbourne. Are you in the mood…for beards?' lead singer Johann Beardraven asks a sold out... Read More

Amelia: "I think it sounds a little like Evermore - you know, a drum beat like a horse galloping over a plain."'   Mel: "Yep. Road song. I enjoy the tempo changes. Lush production, too. Pretty awesome layers."   Jaymz: "This is ace. Very ace."   Luke: [gives the okay sign] "I like it a lot."   Tyson: [100% Editor] "The main... Read More

For The Beards, who hail from Adelaide and describe themselves as "more of a propaganda machine [than a band]", music isn't exactly their top priority. Beards are. Sure, they play music, but more importantly, they have beards. That doesn't mean their music isn't both catchy and hilarious - it just means that this interview is not about music at all. It's about beards.... Read More

The Beards have made a career touring Australia performing and preaching about their facial hair. Now they have plans to release an iPhone application that can 'beardify' you ... just in time for their April tour.   This band is serious about their beards, even appearing at the World Beard and Moustache Championships in Alaska 2009 (not joking, it's a real thing). With a repertoire of songs... Read More
