Music conferences (essentially trade fairs with a lot more alcohol) seem to be an integral way for musicians from this far away land of Australia to be noticed. Sure, the internet has helped things along from the bygone era of our insular industry during the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s but even then, the internet can only do so much.
