Turn South

The Old Bar

After over three years since their last release and almost two since their last show, Turn South are back to launch their new single ‘Assumptions’ from their forthcoming EP ‘Something That Connects Us’.
Joining them at the Old Bar are friends The Lazy Susans, Wish and Ashleigh Hazel.

Ashleigh Hazel is the fictional performance art pop princess of your dreams.

Wish bring their brand of instrumental emo to the lineup. Big riffs, open-tunings and major keys convey more than words ever could.

The Lazy Susans are the Melbourne DIY scene’s favourite NSW import. Originally hailing from the Blue Mountains, they play heart-on-sleeve alternative rock singalongs, and after recent lineup changes, power-pop punctuated by soaring synth lines.

Turn South provide a signature blend of modern emo and pop-punk/alternative. Known for their energy-filled live performances and lyrical themes bridging the gap between introspection and wider social context, their first show back is sure to be a party not to be missed. Forthcoming single ‘Assumptions’ hints at new developments to their sound.
