Catch a glimpse of an unseen Australia with this photography exhibition coming to Brunswick

Out Back

Opening next month, Out back explores the depths of Australia’s vibrant landscape.

Featuring the works of Brooke Zanco and Em Jensen, who both took trips into the Australian outback armed with their film cameras, Out back is an exhibition of film photos that capture the Australian landscape. It all goes down at the Brunswick Artists Bar on Sydney Road, with the opening night event set to take place from 6 pm on February 1.

Brooke Zanco is a biologist, and travelled west through the desert, photographing the many landscapes she visited. Her work focuses on the natural environment and outback scenery. All of her photographs are taken on film.

Em Jensen travelled North-West to Broken Hill, with an interest in documenting the community and telling the stories of the town, through images and words. She met locals and listened to their stories, and these stories are reflected in the photographs she’s included in Out back. All of her photographs are also taken on film.

Out back opens at Brunswick Artists Bar on February 1. Find out more by heading here.
