New Zealand-born, Melbourne-based solo artist Kerryn Fields returns with a stunning new LP. Titled Water, the record is an exploration of human emotion, prompted by the end of a relationship.

Drawing comparisons with the likes of Townes Van Zandt and Joan Baez, Fields’ stirring storytelling and compelling melodies conjure a visceral response.
Recorded live to tape across three days, the tracks offer a warm, rich sound melding guitar, drums, vocals, and upright bass.
“The album all started with the end of my marriage. I found myself along the Great Ocean Road, grieving and homesick with nowhere to go,” says Fields of the record.
“Starting at the end of a relationship. Recording something joyous where I once found myself hopeless and lost. This is a record of beautiful, circular processes.”
She’ll launch the album live at Northcote Social Club on Sunday July 18 with a full band show, as well as celebrating release day with a livestream performance on Friday July 9 from 7pm AEST.
