Revered globally as one of the greats of his generation, James Morrison plays for one night in Melbourne at Hawthorn Arts Centre.

The trumpet virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist brings his quartet, which includes his two wildly talented sons, Harry Morrison on double bass and William Morrison on guitar, and rounded off by Patrick Danao on drums.

The globe-trotting group are Morrison’s “most swinging quartet ever” according to jazz critic Eric Myers. The four recorded the album ‘Midnight Till Dawn’ in London in 2018 and have been touring it internationally since.

“A gig to be savoured… far and away the most popular drawcard in Australian jazz… Morrison’s performance confirmed why he bestrides the Australian jazz scene like a colossus.” Eric Myers

James Morrison is known throughout the world for his sheer brilliance as a jazz musician and an all-round entertainer. He has played with legends including Ray Brown, Dave Brubeck, Ray Charles, Dizzy Gillespie, Quincy Jones, and Wynton Marsalis.
