What’s the band name and what do you do in the band? My band name is Angie McMahon, that is also my human name, and I sing songs while playing an instrument (usually guitar).

What do you reckon people will say you sound like? A lost young adult singing pop/rock.

What do you love about making music?  All the things.

What do you hate about the music industry? The assumptions that we make about each other, and the effect it has on mental health.

If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why? Leonard Cohen, but I’m not a good enough songwriter yet…maybe in 30 years I’ll be ready to go back and find him.

If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why? I’m not down on the violence but I’d fire R. Kelly from music because fuck that guy.

What can a punter expect from your live show? Either solo or as a trio (with a bass guitarist and drummer), I’ll sing a bunch of songs I’ve written about different things, and try to weave a few different genres/emotions in there to keep it interesting.

What’ve you got to sell CD-wise? Nothing yet…I’ve just released a single, so you can buy online or stream it while I’m recording some more songs.

Tell us about the gig? Annie-Rose Maloney is supporting – she’s a beautiful songwriter and a very loveable soul. I’ve seen her play a few gigs this year and she got me shook, so I’m real excited to share the stage with her.

Anything else to add? Boycott Streets ice-cream.
