Perth’s Trigger Jackets peddle a fierce brand of rolling stoner rock. The production is crisp on their latest EP, allowing three expertly crafted tracks to shine. Taking their cues from Queens Of The Stone Age and Foo Fighters, they’ve written ballsy, masculine tunes, complete with curt-but-dirty guitars lines, whomping rhythms and a smooth, crooning vocal. Hurricane, in particular, has all the right elements, with a strong melody running through the middle and a chorus that will rock the socks off your inner bogan.
