Lyrically asking "are we defined by the mistakes we make or if they are simply a part of us growing?” Believe Me is the latest reflective single from Aburden.

With introspective lyrics, a heartfelt chorus and soaring instrumentals, Believe Me is the second single to be released by Aburden this year. Returning in full force to the music scene this year after they announced a hiatus in 2019, they seamlessly blend alternative rock with elements of screamo.

Believe Me is out across all streaming platforms today, along with its accompanying music video.

“Believe Me is about having everything in your life exactly as you want it, then in a blink of an eye everything changes, leading you to question whether you ever really knew who you were or what you wanted in the first place,” say the band on the inspiration behind Believe Me.

With over 3.2 million streams on Spotify alone, Aburden have been trailblazers on the scene since their introduction in 2015. With their tracks being added to Spotify’s Homegrown + Heavy as well as adds to Crash Course and Local Noise, they captured the hearts of Melburnians with with their successful single launch at Stay Gold and their headline appearance at emo nights AM//PM in Melbourne supported by Waxflower and Loose End.

Sporting a brand new lineup, Aburden is made up of Mason Forster on vocals and keys, Harry Mackley on vocals and guitar, Matt McKinnon on drums, Jordan Guiliani on bass and Ben Dordevic on guitar.
