Wit incorporated celebrate women in theatre for 2017 season

2016 was a revolutionary year for women in the arts and as the year swiftly comes to a close, Wit incorporated have divulged a stellar all women opening lineup for 2017.

In promoting an all female cast of writers, directors and actors, the independent theatre company are also committed to diverse casting, meaning each show will reflect the community in which they are being performed.
Kicking things off, A Hero's Guide to Saving the Planet exposes the nifty and practical ways we can salvage the planet with the help of some environmental superheroes. Reducing our waste and recycling are just a few of the measures these superheroes have in mind.
A Scandal in the Weimar gets underway on August 25, taking things back to 1939 London where tensions are building with war imminent. Lady Sherlock Holmes and her companion Dr Jean Watson are engaged by Lady Diana Mosley to track down Irene Adler in Berlin and retrieve sensitive information.
Capping off the first announcement is Outside In. Set in a women's prison, this marvellous script explores a feminist desire to create roles for women when they are seen as the subject not the object.
