Violin duo Benjamin Schmid and Helen Rathbone will deliver their critically acclaimed performances of classic pieces from Back and Schubert, as well as more contemporary pieces from two-time Academy Award winner, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, amongst others.
To add to the festivities, Schmid and Rathbone will have their impeccable musicianship accompanied by our very own Australian Chamber Orchestra.
At only 43, Schmid has become a staple of the long-running Salzburg Festival in Austria. His versatility and great talent are seen to bring together classical greats, an unmistakable Hollywood sound, as well as undertones of jazz, gypsy and polka for a night of orchestral delight.
This is an event not to be missed by any classical lover. Forget Andre Rieu, Schmid’s in town.
