Tunnel Rat

Presented by Melbourne Jewish Theatre Trust, the performance tells the story of an American man, Ronnie Giles, who was selected to become a tunnel rat in order to spy and search for the enemy whilst serving in Vietnam, all because of his height.

At the age of 17, Giles was given an ultimatum by a court judge – either join the army or go to jail. Deciding to go to the army, he became a tunnel rat and has lived with the horrifying experience since.

A musical, comedy, poignant and illuminating insight into post traumatic stress disorder, Tunnel Rat is a decidedly anti-war play that is extremely entertaining and informative.
