Creative Director of Theatre Works, John Sheedy, has stressed the importance of the alternative voice in Australian theatre in his announcement.
“Our 2017 season brings together a group of game changers who share our view,” he said. “That theatre is essential within a society that is more disparate and diverse than ever.”
The season will be kicked off by Lifetime Guarantee, a rock and roll comedy about inter-species relationships, property development, sex tapes, new love and a ’67 Mustang.
Further highlights include Joan, exploring Medieval heroine Joan of Arc, Frankenstein, The Book of Exodus Part I and Part II, Song For A Weary Throat and more.
