I've always been told that when you want to reach inner peace, meditate. It's the best form of healing and creating a clear mind. But then there are those moments when meditation won't help, and people feel the need to express themselves through other means.
David Freney-Mills has taken this search for inner peace and harmony and expressed it through a diverse range of paintings in his new exhibition Stratified Mantra.
This exhibition of paintings explores the central theme of healing using text drawn from poetic, philosophical and political sources. With paintings ranging from subtle earthy tones, pinks and yellows, to more chromatic works using greens and blues, healing and poetical statements ooze from these works.
Stratified Mantra will be held at PB Gallery – Swinburne from 8-31 August.
