Space Invaders: australian. street. stencils. posters. paste-ups. zines. stickers delves into the complex, interesting and challenging side of the contemporary Australian street art scene. The exhibition will showcase more than 150 works on paper created by street artists from across the country.
“It’s a vital aspect of the experience of the city, having moved way beyond graffiti and tagging,” says Gallery Director, Suzanne Davies. “This exhibition looks at the wide variety of contemporary Australian street art, such as political stencils, adbusting, zines, paste-ups and stickers which saturate the city with images and messages.”
