With their fifth film program handcrafted by the Human Rights & Arts Film Festival’s esteemed Lauren Valmadre, so far this summer we’ve seen an eclectic range of the world’s most groundbreaking contemporary releases, eye-opening music documentaries and, of course, your best friend’s favourite cult classic films.

Some highlights of the part two program include The Revenant starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Quentin Tarantino’s latest masterwork The Hateful Eight, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s Sisters, the adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s novel The Price of Salt in Carol, plus classics Jaws, Blade Running, Trainspotting and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

“After the holiday season blur it’s always a great to sit back and program the latter half. February and March gives Shadow Electric an opportunity to broaden the program. We sit Oscar winners next to independent documentaries, and music documentaries with old favourites,” says owner, co-programmer and creative director Jay Rayner.

With food offerings from the aforementioned Le Bon Ton alongside Longhorn and Chinghon, DJs and carefully curated events before and after all screenings, they’ve got you covered for all of your summer knock-offs and kick-ons.
