A permanent sculpture walk, the Elisabeth Murdoch Walk provides a pathway linking iconic sculptures within the McClelland’s beautifully landscaped bush settings and picturesque gardens.

Dame Elisabeth Murdoch has been a continuously active supporter, trustee and Governor of McClelland since its inception in 1971 and so with 102 years of life under her belt, a wealth of experience and a love of the arts, it is no wonder that this inspirational woman has earnt the privilege to be named after and open her own walk.

Also on the day will be the announcement of the McClelland Sculpture Survey and Award 2010. Proudly supported by The Balnaves Foundation and Elisabeth Murdoch Sculpture Foundation this award is one of the richest and most important biennial outdoor sculpture exhibitions in Australia. Since its openning in November 2010 the McClelland Sculpture Survey and Award has attracted a record audience of more than 50,000 with annual audience records of over 100,000 thousand people.

The 34 artists who were selected as finalists for this pretigious award will have their works exhibited throughout the 16 hectares of lush bush and scenic gardens.
