The Rock & Roll Writers Festival is heading to Melbourne

Music and writing will collide when the Rock & Roll Writers Festival hits Melbourne.

Australia’s only literary festival celebrating the creative relationship between writing and music, the Rock & Roll Writers Festival will bring more than 15 musicians, novelists, commentators and journalists together, marking the first time the festival has toured from its home base of Brisbane.
The festival will offer four panel sessions throughout the day, discussing the creative process for writing music, and for writing about music. Topics include the impact of place, identity, desire and fear on the songwriting process, sharing unique perspectives from performers, as well as those writing and working behind the scenes.
Getting down for the event will be Cash Savage, Mike Noga, Jess Ribeiro, Rob Snarski, Cherry Bomb author and journalist Jenny Valentish, Andrew McMillen, Mikey Cahill and more.

The Rock & Roll Writers Festival goes down on Sunday April 9 at Abbotsford Convent. More info here
