Rising Water Visits The Arts Centre

Tim Winton's first ever piece Rising Water was specifically written for the stage, so it only seems fitting that it's on its way there.

It tells of one man’s life wreckage and all that comes with it. Bringing to stage all of the humanity, larrikin humour and unsentimental pathos for which he is known by through his novels, Winton has been praised by many for his writings, with Andrew Denton stating that “He's shown an exquisite feel for the...very pulse of Australia.” That exact pulse being felt within this performance.

Presented by the Black Swan State Theatre Company, Rising Water will be presented from 5 August to 10 September 2011 at The Arts Centre Playhouse.
