New 'pay as you feel' grocer opens this weekend

From our good old friends at Lentil As Anything.

The crew at Lentil As Anything have long been serving the masses with their unique dining system which allows patrons to pay what they can, or volunteer, in return for a cooked meal. The latest project through Lentil As Anything's Food Without Borders project is The Inconvenience Store - a supermarket providing fresh food using a name your own price system.

The Inconvenience Store aims to provide the opposite experience as your regular grocery store, with 'rescued' food items and sustainability the key focuses. All stock sold within the store will be slightly imperfect or misshaped produce donated by local businesses, markets and shops which not only reduces food waste but allowing customers to pay less.

The grocer will be entirely vegan, stocking a range of items including fresh vegetables, gourmet bread, pickles, preserves, jams, cans and condiments. Don't forget to BYO bag.

The Inconvenience Store opens on Sunday June 8 with ongoing regular hours from 11 - 3 Friday - Monday. Find it at 562 - 564 High Street, Thornbury.
